ONLINE CLASS: Inclusive Male Reproductive Health with 7Song

  • PO BOX 15 McArthur, Ohio, 45651 (map)

This class will initially cover the anatomy and physiology of the typical male reproductive parts using anatomical models to show and describe them. We will discuss various processes, including how the testes produce sperm, the nervous system innervation of erection and ejaculation, the hypothalamus-testes axis, and other physiological functions. We will then focus on health treatments with a focus on prostate health. The goal of this class is for participants to understand male reproductive physiology and to know a few herbs that can help with health conditions.

7Song is an herbalist, teacher, and naturalist residing in Ithaca, NY. He is the director and main instructor at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine and is a founding member and clinical herbalist at the Ithaca Free Clinic. As an herbalist, his focus includes gathering and preparing herbal medicines, clinical practice, first aid, teaching, and botany. He also spends a lot of time taking photographs of things that run, crawl, fly, or photosynthesize.

His teaching goals include showing how herbal medicine offers useful primary and adjunct treatments and how to make herbal medicine accessible and available to the larger community.

He began studying the male reproductive system soon after learning about herbal medicine, to help himself and others learn about the anatomy, physiology, and treatment of these structures.
